Matt Mullenweg, Automattic head honcho and creator of WordPress, mentioned a new forum software in an article over at the Houston Chronicle TechBlog (via Blogging Pro). The new piece of software is called TalkPress (for now at least, see this bbPress forum thread), and will co-exist with bbPress.

In a move to make it easier to create websites, Movable Type 4.1 sports a new Universal Template. David Peralty is impressed, personally I’d say it’s a user friendly theme but nothing more than that. Movable Type 4.1 itself looks great though. Check out the screencast and see for yourself.

Using a group of Diggers to reach the front page of Digg? Those days are over, if Kevin Rose is to be believed:
[...] Digg’s promotional algorithm ensures that the most popular content dugg by a diverse, unique group of diggers reaches the home page.
Sounds like a good idea to me, but others may disagree.
