The Digg Reel show, why?

If you take the best videos from Digg and do an America’s Funniest Home Videos, but with a more hip host, you’ve got The Digg Reel show. The question is why? I can watch the videos when I feel like it, and read snarky comments from the Digg community myself, not having to have someone read them for me.
