The recuperating Om Malik announced the launch of OStatic (launch post) a little while ago. OStatic is an opensouce focused blog within the GigaOM network, and it looks pretty good. I’ll be following this one.

The Crunchies is an Web 2.0-we-love-startups-award with a bunch of categories, hosted by TechCrunch, VentureBeat, GigaOM, and Read/WriteWeb. The winners are announced, with Automattic (Matt’s got a post up), Digg, and Facebook being among the successful ones. Congratulations!
